Let’s Work Together
Marcus Jones - Founder
Marcus Jones has spent three decades discovering how buildings can truly serve the communities they shelter. His journey began as a carpenter& helper in high school and continued through becoming a licensed electrician, working with HVAC controls, and leading energy efficiency programs across Vermont—each experience revealing new possibilities for creating value from what others might overlook. Through programming thermal storage systems, facilitating industrial waste heat recovery projects, conducting energy evaluations, and hands-on construction, Marcus learned to see buildings as interconnected systems where waste in one area often represents opportunity in another. This systems perspective became essential when his own move-in ready; home required complete remediation, transforming a challenging situation into deeper insight about how buildings can better serve both human healt and environmental wellbeing.
Three years ago, Marcus founded Reclaimed Materials Resource Management (RMRM) to bridge the gap between material salvage and community-accessible reuse. Working with partners like Deconstruction Works, RMRM has developed a replicable model that transforms construction waste streams into economic opportunities—creating pathways for communities to access quality building materials while supporting both environmental and economic goals.
